Email Marketing and Tighter Belts

We know that economic forces are requiring many marketing departments to tighten their belts. In times like these it's important to remember the effectiveness email marketing.

The Direct Marketing Association projects that every dollar spent on email marketing in 2008 will have an ROI of over $45. Although down slightly from 2007, this shows email marketing is still a tremendous value.

A recent survey of 2,000 online marketing professionals by Datran Media indicates that eight of 10 cite email as the best performing medium, ahead of search and display. Moreover, 82% of marketers surveyed indicated they plan to increase their use of email marketing, and 55% of respondents said they expect ROI from email to be higher than any other channel.

Smaller marketing budgets dictate spending money where it has the most impact per dollar. That value can be found in email marketing.

Category Management

Sevista's Category Management feature allows for more efficient viewing and management of campaigns, documents and images. Similiar to a "folder" concept, Sevista allows you to create "categories." Your campaigns and images can be "tagged" and assigned to one or more of these categories. Category Management is currently available in the following product areas.

1. Asset Manager
2. Online HTML Editor
3. Newsletters/Campaigns

One great way to utilize Category Management is in conjunction with your archived campaigns and newsletters. Rather than searching through all of your past campaigns, you can narrow the search by category. Searching for "Monthly Newsletters" or "Sales Promotions," for example, reduces the total number of campaigns to be reviewed—and saves you time.

Category Management is also useful when dealing with large numbers of images. You can categorize images and documents by campaign or promotion and streamline future searches.
